Ground Handling

 

(GROUND SERVICE EQUIPMENT)

Ground service equipment (GSE) for aircraft maintenance, passenger and baggage handling is stored in an area located to the north of the passenger terminal and near the northern edge of the terminal apron. It occupies a space of approximately 2,465 sq m

GSE area is also used by the Royal Jordanian Airlines to store spare parts and for equipment and vehicle cleaning.

In addition to the area designated for GSE storage, temporary staging of equipment on the terminal apron is provided for equipment brought forward from the remote storage and temporarily parked before moving on to a stand to service an aircraft after its arrival. All equipment is removed from the stand to the remote storage area after the departure of the aircraft. Exclusive handling right is given to the Royal Jordanian Airlines.
